Tien Giang-Ben Tre Internship Tour

In July, Ton Duc Thang College cooperated with BYC Tourism to organize Tien Giang – Ben Tre internship tour for students majoring Tourism and Travel Management.

At Mekong Rest Stop in Tien Giang

The internship tour of the students 196 was a huge success, creating great experience for everyone involved. And it also helped them gain an insight into their chosen career path and equip themselves with relevant knowledge and skills.

Taking a boat ride over to Thoi Son Island

Thanks to this internship tour, all students had the opportunity to manage a tour, such as greeting and welcoming travellers to the tour, arranging seating, giving a description of the location, managing large groups, and assisting travellers with questions or problems.

Furthermore, the students could study, check and research for required information related to the tour such as routes, destinations, tourism services … in Tien Giang and Ben Tre; thoroughly research four islets named under four Vietnamese supernatural animals “Long-Lan-Quy-Phung” (Dragon – Unicorn – Turtle – Phoenix); listen to Đờn ca tài tử; visit coconut candy village, and learn about Coconut Religion. It was the initial step to facilitate students’ evaluating the potential, strengths and weaknesses of the eco-tourism in the Mekong Delta.

After the internship ends, the students of Tourism and Travel Management are looking forward to the next tours in the hope of having more hands-on experience in tourist attractions.
