Working In Tourism Industry 4.0

In the past few years, the fourth industrial revolution has emerged, known as Industry 4.0, has a great impact on almost every aspect of life in the world. Such an event is unprecedented in the history, creating opportunities and challenges, changing society and industries. How do student best prepare for these overwhelming challenges when Vietnam approaches Industry 4.0?

With the aim of helping freshmen shape career paths and equip themselves with practical knowledge and employability skills for Industry 4.0, on May 20th, 2020, the presentation “ Working In Tourism Industry 4.0” was given by Mr. Tran Nhat Chieu, a tour guide of TransViet Travel, attracting lecturers and 140 students of English, and students of Tourism and Travel Management as well.

In the friendly atmosphere, the speaker shared experiences through his journeys, such as using the smartphone to collect information, arranging tours, handling problems, managing tour, etc…, as well as essential skills a tour guide should have.

Thanks to the seminar, the freshmen are now aware of the knowledge and skills they need to survive when deeply engaging the world around them.
