Information Technology Office Tour to FPT Software Ho Chi Minh Co.Ltd at Saigon Hi-Tech Park

For the purpose of connecting enterprises to student training and employment; to improve the occupational education quality and create an opportunity for Information Technology (IT) students of Ton Duc Thang College (TDTC) to facilitate their practical experiences, their ability to comprehend and develop certain set of skills, and their knowledge for future careers; on the afternoon of May 31st, 2019, the students  attended a tour to FPT Software Ho Chi Minh Co.Ltd, located at Saigon Hi-Tech Park in District 9 (Fsoft HCM). Thanks to the field trip, first-year students could shape a clear and decisive path of their current major; final-year students had a chance to access a professional work environment and therefore stayed motivation to successfully complete their study program

Participating in the field trip, there were Ph.D. Nguyen Huu Khanh Nhan, Vice President of TDTC; Lecturer Nguyen Viet Hung, Lecturer Le Viet Thanh, and Lecturer Dzoan Thanh of IT Department; and most importantly, the presence of 100 students of class 186, 187 whose determination and excitement overcame the hot weather

Right after their arrival at F-Town Building, students were divided into smaller groups to visit both F-Town 1 and F-Town 2. Various areas such as workspaces of Dev, Test and Fresher;  entertainment and relaxing lounges; eating areas; VIP offices; seminar rooms for international and domestic events were introduced to all 100 visiting students

Next, the trainer gave a presentation on  Fresher Training Program, the differences bewtween Fresher and Internship, as well as the basic requirements for a Fresher. At the same time, students were introduced to internship opportunities and job openings. TDTC also had a discussion with Fsoft Human Resources Department on the training program for the career modules, graduate internships, seminars, recruitment programs and job fairs, etc., along with the occupational skills that IT students need for Industry 4.0.
