Logistics Internship for English students

Globalization has accelerated, leading to the growth of export and import business and the significant changes in logistics. Ancient Roman and Greek wars are the basis for today’s logistics system, known as the management of the flow of necessities, food, and weapons. After World War II, logistics moved from warfare to business. Recently, logistics has provided an essential service for our society during the COVID-19 outbreak since it is an industry creating a vital link to ensure a successful product/service life cycle from production to consumers around the world, as a result of import and export activities, fleet management, warehousing, materials handling, order fulfillment, inventory management, demand planning, sourcing, production planning, packaging, and customer service.

Therefore, Ton Duc Thang College cooperated with American Star International Transport Trading Co. Ltd to offer a training course that helped senior English students deepen their understanding of logistics. Currently, the students are enjoying their valuable internship with hands-on experience, beneficial to their future career goals because the internship has provided them with an opportunity of being directly involved in activities such as documentation, customs declaration, and packaging.

In addition, the senior English students could realize the importance of English in current industries, especially in logistics, a vibrant industry with good career prospects.
